Ahoy Mateys! The big chill is over and shiver me timbers, Six Flags Great Escape has debuted Buccaneer Beach at Splashwater Kingdom for the 2015 season. The splishing and splashing good times have officially begun and here's why Buccaneer Beach is the pirates' place to be this summer.

Six Flags and summer fun go hand-in-hand. Six Flags Great Escape features Buccaneer Beach as an area within Splashwater Kingdom, where pint-sized pirates can find fun places to play, explore and most importantly, cool down! Six Flags Great Escape announced the addition of the newly renovated Buccaneer Beach offering guests a restored and transformed Noah's Sprayground, the most popular children's area in Splashwater Kingdom.
The reimagined, pirate-themed adventure features pop jets, splash pads, children's slides and plenty of water elements offering family-friendly opportunities for water park fun. The expansion to the upper water park includes new pool deck space and increased shaded water park.
"We are thrilled to rejuvenate this beloved family attraction in Splashwater Kingdom," said Eric Gilbert, Park President, Six Flags Great Escape Resort Properties. "The introduction of Buccaneer Beach is in direct response to our guests' feedback and will breathe new life into this historic area of our beautiful water park."
Our family enjoyed visiting Six Flags Great Escape in past summers since relocating to Upstate New York, and our most recent visit did not disappoint. The beautiful amusement park and water park is always a refreshing place to visit. The crisp air and clear, blue skies and friendliest employees ever just added to the festive atmosphere. Our family was among the final stragglers to leave Buccaneer Beach and The Great Escape and they are looking forward to our next visits.
Six Flags Great Escape Season Passes are currently on sale now for as low as $59.99 and when purchasing four or more you also receive free parking at Great Escape.
