The future is heading your way slow and steady, or possibly it's zooming right at you fast and furious. Are you prepared to embrace all of the changes the future will bring with style and grace? Shaping your future is a
most appropriate thought to ponder as we enter into a phase in our lives where there
is an imperative need to become deliberately proactive in the achievement of our life goals, both professional and personal. As a result, it has become apparent that
there is also a need for us to create a community of empowered, equipped and educated achievers prepared to serve as living lessons within their social networks. Here are five SMART keys to use to shape your future.
Here are 5 SMART Keys to Shape Your Future Today
Who are these transformed gurus prepared to enlighten the masses. They are spouses, parents, friends, professionals,
homemakers, educators and students, the people that you meet each day. They may be academically credentialed or they may have earned their credentials from the School of Hard Knocks, either way- take notes. The spoken, written and implied words being shared speak volumes on religion, spirituality, life and living to our potential. I have learned a few key factors that sustain me in shaping my future that I offer to you now.
Key #1 See and Say
Walk with purpose and step into your destiny. The ups and downs of life should never diminish your power to dream. Create visual goals in the form of a vision board or a written goal plan. Be specific in your plans for making change and achieving success. SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Timed) goals are tangible and most easily evaluated. Those who do more often go further than those that know more. See it, say it, obtain it.
Key #2 Work It Out
If you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem. The thought of hitting that "easy button" at times is definitely a tempting, yet unrealistic idea. Many times our resourcefulness in the use of our negotiating skills and patience can transform those challenging moments into stepping stones to successful resolutions. Try to factor a win-win opportunity into the equation and the more that you focus your talents and energy on solutions, the more experience you gain in achieving peace. If it's worth it, work it out.
Key #3 Make It Happen
When no one is there to encourage you, encourage yourself. If we don't believe in our own greatness, how can we expect anyone else to do as much? Have a truthful confidence in your abilities and use every opportunity to develop, refine and showcase your best self. Fear and self-doubt will steal your shine every time. Remember that in life, sometimes you win, sometimes you learn. You deserve the best, have faith and make it happen! No excuses.
Key #4 Be the True You
Be yourself, everyone else is already taken. You have no options in your relationship with yourself, as well as networking with others. Show your authentic self and learn to love you for all that you are. Surround yourself with a strong, sincere support system of as few as one other or as many as one thousand others that will help you to sustain and be accountable for your vision. For others to support you, they have to know the "True You".
Key #5 Go Get It
You can't sit and wish for it, you must get up and work for it. To say that life is unpredictable is an understatement, we have little control over life, yet we can control our reactions to situations and events in our lives. We can shape, mold and prepare ourselves to best face the unpredictables with a positive mental and spiritual outlook on our future. The motivating factor in everything that we do should be gratitude. To begin each day, each encounter, each event by being humbled and thankful for the opportunity before you, the future is that much more of a blessing than a barrier. The more that you thank life, the more life gives you to be thankful for.

Work It Out is one of my favourites that you mentioned. So many dwell on the problem instead of seeking a solution. New follower on twitter and G+.
