Do you remember the time when you and your better half first had "the talk"? Our talk happened rather matter-of-factly, very early on in our relationship. Actually, it was more in our pre-relationship, getting-to-know-you days, so I don't really know what those lovey-dovey conversations amount to today. Which talk? Reading In Faith and In Doubt How Religious Believers and Nonbelievers Can Create Strong Marriages and Loving Families will offer talking points on religion, spirituality and all choices in-between.
Divided into two parts, In Faith and In Doubt How Religious Believers and Nonbelievers Can Create Strong Marriages and Loving Families, is a relevant, compelling read from award-winning author Dale McGowan. With today's diverse faces of love, dating and marriage, couples are encountering questions of intermingling cultures, nationalities, religious beliefs and so much more. The couples sharing their personal mixed-belief marriage experiences offer valuable insight in a candid, manner that so many other couples can relate to and will benefit from their examples.
Very often, I have been known to say that I consider myself to be more of a spiritual person than religious in my practices. My husband on the other hand, is not so easily penned. He was raised as a Christian by his family while growing up, similar to my upbringing. However, while my grandfather was the Superintendent of our Sunday School, hubby's religious instruction was based heavily on the youth basketball team at his church. Who does that? The one time that I heard him say, "God is good", I don't even know how he finished the sentence, but the reference absolutely pertained to something to do with the car. We're a work in progress.
