Got Wanderlust? The Trending Accessory Every Family Needs for Travel

There's only one proven cure for wanderlust. That would certainly be to make every effort to travel. I'm not really sure if travel would be considered the cure or the enabler, but in any case, go somewhere! Whether traveling alone or with family and friends, in the neighborhood or internationally, there is no excuse for an unprepared globetrotter. I know my personal limitations and unfortunately motion sickness is on that list. I love packing up the family to explore interesting new destinations, however the actual transportation aspect is no easy road to travel, pun intended.

Got Wanderlust? The Trending Accessory Every Family Needs for Travel
There is no greater thrill for me than to be able to learn a new skill, attempt an unfamiliar feat or to witness an unforgettable moment, unfortunately, the effects of travel, in particular  motion sickness along with nausea and migraines that follow often find me to be a reluctant passenger. A recent national survey finds that more than half of all women troubled by motion sickness, myself included, will avoid road trips, amusement park rides, and travel abroad. All of these issues, I agree are very true for me.  My usual bag of tricks when I have to travel includes water, ginger ale, plain crackers and mints, I personally prefer Altoids, The Curiously Strong Mint.

Another setback when experiencing motion sickness is the inconvenience of compromising travel for other passengers. I very often feel that I have to take one for the team despite feeling very uncomfortable, to say the least. My newest accessory to combat motion sickness is the NoMo BandThis anti-nausea band is created to be worn before those feelings of nausea begin. One of the most appealing factors for our family is that the NoMo Bands are drug-free and can be safely worn by children and adults as needed. The anti-nausea effect lasts for approximately 12-24 hours after the band has been removed. The band's aromatherapy peppermint scent can last for up to two weeks after opening and for as long as  two years in its resealable packaging.

The NoMo Band has natural peppermint oil infused into the band allowing menthol to continuously release a light peppermint scent. These bands also use the holistic technique of acupressure to alleviate nausea. Targeting the P6 point, also known as the vascular meridian, is a very specific pressure point on the underside of wrist located about 3 fingers distance from the first wrist crease found in between the pointer and middle finger tendon. The application of pressure at P6 is helpful in relieving nausea.
