But what can he do when the people in his village won’t believe his story, and even wild animals and the weather seem determined to stop him from helping?"

Transporting readers into simple, rural life in India, The Hidden Village introduces Manju, a spirited young boy always prepared with tall tales and full of ideas. As Manju happens upon a small village hidden within the depths of the forest, the challenge of finding support along with much needed resources changes not only his life, but also the lives of those he encounters in the village. My son and I seemed to be side-by-side Manju on his mission to deliver a message of hope and faith to a seemingly forgotten village, descriptively written by Hudson, and illustrated by Keith Neely. Written as appropriate to be read with children ages 6 and up, this is a delightful story emphasizing the significance even one person makes by caring about others.
