Research airfare ticket prices online and directly with airlines for a better perspective of competitive comparison rates. Travel experts recommend beginning travel plans in the area of 6-8 weeks in advance of scheduled travel dates. Search airline websites for possible direct discounts, airfare search engines, and economy booking sites comparing offers with and without travel package deals which bundle hotel accommodations, or car rental inclusives. Whenever possible, we travel during less crowded, off-peak travel dates for even better pricing and upgrade availability.

Consider this travel hack whenever packing luggage for a flight. Travel light when possible, carry-on bags (always check airline requirements and restrictions) are often your best bet for avoiding the costs of airline baggage check-in and time spent at baggage claim carousels. With bags in hand, travel to and from destinations are more easily and affordably coordinated.

Sharing these memories with family and friends becomes an added travel expense and added baggage to manage at parks and while traveling. Shop ahead of time and bring your Disney tees, totes, and towels with you. Amazon is my favorite way to find something for everyone, before, during, and after vacation time.

Remember to inform Disney Cast members of any special occasion celebrations, such as a little (or not-so-little) one's first Disney visit. Missing the occasion on our first visit, I was asked at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort check-in if we were celebrating a special occasion and presented with a souvenir pin for my youngest's first visit. Collecting pressed pennies is our family's fave travel hack. Almost anywhere that we visit we have been able to add to our pressed coin collection, usually for the price of two quarters and a shiny penny. Our family loves looking at our coin collection, stored in a collectible album for convenience.
