Arriving at Yankee Stadium

MLB-Mandated Procedure for Entry to Yankee Stadium

"As part of Major League Baseball's initiative to standardize security procedures at all 30 major league parks, all Guests are required to be screened via metal detectors before entering Yankee Stadium. This procedure is a result of MLB's continuing work with the Department of Homeland Security and is in addition to the bag-check policy in place."

It's highly recommended to plan to arrive at Babe Ruth Plaza early to avoid the crowds (and NYC travel delays), as it may take a bit of time to pass through security and locate your seat. Gates open for entry 90 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the game to allow yourself plenty of time to settle in before the first pitch. Traveling around Yankee Stadium may involve a great deal of walking, if you have mobility issues, consider lower level seating. New York will root, root, root for the home team, and for those sensitive to noise, wearing noise-cancelling earplugs or headphones may be helpful.

Be advised that Yankee Stadium schedules for gate openings are subject to change due to inclement weather and for special events, doubleheaders, Opening Day, the Old-Timers' Day game, and postseason play or at Yankee Stadium management's discretion. There may be times when the only entrance is through the Yankee Stadium Lobby, adjacent to Gate 2.

The Yankees also partner with CLEAR to provide ticketed fans with a faster, easier way into Yankee Stadium. By downloading and signing up with the free CLEAR app, you are able to enter through designated CLEAR Lane expedited entry at Babe Ruth Plaza. The CLEAR security line is a faster way into the Stadium. Take a moment to read through all up-to date Yankee Stadium policies as—"Pursuant to an MLB mandate, additional, enhanced security measures will be in place at all Gates at the Stadium".

While inside of the arena, fans are advised to stay alert and be aware of your surroundings at all times, during batting practices, fielding practices and warm-ups, and during baseball games and experiences, baseballs and bats may be projected into the stands, concourses, walkways, concessions areas, Monument Park and other areas within Yankee Stadium.

Ticketing

Contactless technology delivers digital ticketing to mobile devices via the MLB Ballpark app. Sustainability updates will no longer issue paper tickets, paperless mobile ticketing will personalize your game day, providing mobile check-in, special offers, rewards, and exclusive content. Download and transfer tickets to each member of your party before arriving at Yankee Stadium, screenshots of tickets will not be accepted for entry.

Keep in mind that game time, opponent, date, team rosters, lineups, and seating locations are subject to change. It's worth knowing policy indicates- "Guests concerned with their original ticketed location by reason of the foregoing should, at any time before or during the baseball game or the baseball game experiences, proceed to a Yankee Stadium Ticket Window, located adjacent to Gate 6 in the Great Hall, adjacent to the Yankees Team Store behind home plate in the Great Hall, or adjacent to Section 320C on the Terrace/Grandstand Level."

Yankee Stadium is stunning and worth exploring this epic landmark and enjoying pregame activities including the Monument Park Tour located in center field, recognizing historic legends, and the New York Yankees Museum Presented by Bank of America located adjacent to Section 210 on the Main Level, exhibiting historic Yankee memorabilia.
