Imagine the life of a carpenter of crafting extraordinary works from ordinary resources. As a skilled artisan constructing and repairing woodwork with a variety of tools such as saws, drills, and chisels. Each device the carpenter selects to use will serve a unique purpose in the creation of his finished product. Envisioning the masterpiece requires a considerable amount of wisdom, insight, mastery, and patience throughout the tedious process. There are many lessons to be learned from an experienced crafter guiding a newcomer into the way of life of a carpenter. We were given the honor of viewing an advanced screening of the movie, The Carpenter, sharing a unique, fan fiction perspective of one man's experience as an apprentice carpenter to a mysterious carpenter. Demonstrating the way the rough and tumble path of an unlikely protégé forever changed by the industry and impact of The Carpenter.

Fresh and feisty, The Carpenter is a period-piece movie of ancient, biblical times flipping the script with a modern perspective incorporating Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighting. Bringing us into the world of Oren, we meet a champion fighter whose life is unexpectedly touched after he meets Yeshua, a carpenter from Nazareth.

Astonished by the engaging storytelling, larger-than-life characters, and timely messages, The Carpenter is a movie I will remember as leaving a long-lasting impression. MMA fans, teens and up will best enjoy watching The Carpenter as younger children may not be prepared to see some of the fighting scenes.

Demonstrating through carpentry skills the spiritual life skills 
of compassion and redemption, Oren gains a new outlook on his life. Reaching new audiences, this action movie set in biblical times shows a contemporary vision. We're able to see the manner in which the impact of faith-based stories like The Carpenter capture our attention and hearts.
