At this moment in time, as I'm writing this article on World Kindness Day (November 13), within November—National Gratitude Month, I'm humbled. Allow me a moment to first kindly thank you for following along with me to this point! I sincerely appreciate your interest in and support of my platform. Finding and expressing gratitude may give us all a moment to bring life into perspective. We may not have what we want out of life at the moment, however, we can be thankful for the little blessings that are sustaining us in the meanwhile. With that being said, I'll be the first to admit to the challenges that I, like many of us, must overcome to show up and present my best self to the world. There are some difficult days when our plans seem to be out of alignment with our lives. It happens. In these moments we struggle to make sense of life and the overwhelming heaviness from the weight of worry, fear, hurt, doubt, and frustration. We don't need to carry the pressure of these burdens alone. Strength comes from the alignment of our faith with the ways of the world. We hold on to the best and release the rest to experience that feeling when you simply decide—I Surrender All.

That Feeling When I Surrender All
Bringing the themes of gratitude and kindness into my reading choices, the book, I Surrender All by Priscilla Shirer landed on my desk. Eloquently delivering a powerful message as only Priscilla Shirer does, I came to better understand the area in my life where I had room for growth. I came to the realization that much of my personal challenges arise from my need to be in control of my life, my family, our lifestyle, and an inconceivable heap of circumstances far beyond my control.
Can you relate to the struggle to stand in control more than you stand in faith? That's quite a common dilemma. In reading I Surrender All, we're being given a gentle reminder of the power of letting go, to surrender our will to follow our faith.
Shirer encourages us to surrender everything you have, you need, you are, you're becoming, you want, you face, and everywhere you go for Jesus. Through daily, intentional choices to grow in faith we have the ability to transform our lives and the world around us.
Referencing lessons in the book to include my own thoughts in the areas with lined space for writing down reflections and scripture prompts makes this more than a spiritual read, it's a resource. I Surrender All provides us with spiritual insights and exercises of faith to challenge us to grow in faith.
