Sangria is a traditional Spanish wine punch made by combining red or white wine with diced fresh fruit, sweetener, and a splash of alcohol or a carbonated beverage for flavor and effervescence. Classic sangria has been passed along from its origins in early Spain and Portugal. Sipping fruity sangria became common as a refreshing way to enjoy wine, chilled over ice, and presented in a large pitcher to allow the flavors to blend together. Refined over time, sangria has evolved into a versatile drink with many styles. Wine is typically the foundation for sangria and also is a fun way to add a twist to an inexpensive bottle of wine or swap out for an alcohol-free carbonated beverage. Served as a festive, summery party drink, with a vibrant, fruity flavor to be savored for all to enjoy with the ultimate sangria mocktail recipe for a non-alcoholic treat.

The Ultimate Sangria Mocktail Recipe for a Non-Alcoholic Treat
Sangria Recipe Ingredients
Fruits
Your fruit selection adds a fruity flavor and colorful array to your sangria pitcher or punch bowl. It's best to include whole fruits that are less likely to lose texture. Ideal additions to include would be- oranges, apples, berries, peaches, pineapple, pears, and lemons for nice fresh flavors.
Sweeteners
Mixing in a sweetener is not for every one and certainly a matter of personal preference. Adding in a natural sweetener like honey, maple syrup, sugar, agave nectar, simple syrup or even orange juice balance the tartness of the wine or carbonated beverage and fruits.
Mixers
Served as a cocktail, sangria is made with alcohol. A mocktail recipe can mix in club soda, soda water, lemon-lime soda, or tonic for fizziness.
