Telling the Untold Story of Americans With No Address

Sharing in a moment of complete transparency, I'll open up to tell of a recent family experience which we are currently still in the process of coming to terms with as a whole. With the new year unfolding before us, we stood graveside for the funeral service of an estranged family member that recently passed away. This person seemed to have found their life to be caught in an unfortunate downward spiral, brought to our attention in the midst of an shockingly unexpected visit from a Superintendent from our Sherriff's office. Through the investigation of an out-of-state detective, our home address was located as the closest information discovered for this person, sadly, now factored in as one of countless Americans with no address. These surreal events continue to echo within us in so many variations. There are assorted details that have been pieced into this complex puzzle that has been finished, yet remains incomplete. In the end, we're left struggling to gain insight into the stream of empty spaces and lingering questions. Our family may never find the answers we search for in our wonders of how, therefore the urgency of advocating for populations in need of support is of great relevance. We partnered with Robert Craig Films to raise awareness of the documentary telling the untold story of Americans With No Address.

"Americans With No Address is a documentary that investigates the homeless crisis in America and captures the untold stories of those experiencing homelessness while at the same time trying to find answers to the problem."

Crafting this timely documentary narrated by William Baldwin, the production team embarked upon a journey across the USA for 3 weeks, to visit and film interviews in 20 cities across 18 states to interview over 175 people. These impactful interviews inspired Americans With No Address to explore causes of our nation's homeless crisis, solutions being implemented, and advocacy for support moving forward.

Showcasing the personal narratives of homelessness to bridge gaps in empathy and understanding, Americans With No Address aims to change negative perceptions about homelessness to inspire positive initiatives. Sadly, systemic barriers to healthcare, housing, and rehabilitation services, close doors to the needs of an overwhelming community in dire need of assistance. These surreal events continue to echo within us in so many variations.

My heart breaks as I gained a greater understanding of the many ways in which unhoused people experiencing homelessness often feel unseen and unheard in society. We can make a difference. Let's use the information we learn from watching Americans With No Address to work together to change lives. There is a human side of homelessness, which has become even more significant for our family and countless other families throughout our nation.
